How Does Kasasa® Work?
Simple things like using your debit card and receiving eStatements save you time and make life easier. Those small changes also help save us some money. We can then pump that money back into the community — and to pay you rewards!
It's so easy to qualify, you're probably already doing it! To earn your rewards, simply do the following activities and transactions in your Kasasa Cash or Kasasa Cash Back account each monthly qualification cycle:
- Have at least 12 debit card purchases post and settle
- Be enrolled and receive eStatement notice
- Be enrolled and log into online banking
Qualifying for the Kasasa Cash or Kasasa Cash Back rewards automatically qualifies you for the highest Kasasa Saver rate too. Even if you don't qualify, there's still no monthly service fee and you still earn interest at the base rate. Plus you can get back to earning big-time rewards the very next monthly qualification cycle!
*Qualification Information: Account transactions and activities may take one or more days to post and settle to the account and all must do so during the Monthly Qualification Cycle in order to qualify for the account's rewards. The following activities do not count toward earning account rewards: ATM withdrawals and ATM-processed transactions, transfers between accounts, debit card purchases processed by merchants and received by our bank as ATM transactions, and purchases made with debit cards not issued by our bank. Transactions bundled together by merchants and received by our institution as a single transaction count as a single transaction for the purpose of earning account rewards. "Monthly Qualification Cycle" means a period beginning one (1) business day prior to the first day of the current statement cycle through one (1) business day prior to the close of the current statement cycle. Reward Information: When your Kasasa Cash account qualifications are met during a Monthly Qualification Cycle, the following rewards will be distributed to your account(s) on the last day of the current statement cycle: Kasasa Saver: Balances up to $15,000 receive APY of 0.50% and balances over $15,000 earn 0.35% interest rate on the portion of balance over $15,000 resulting in a range from 0.50% to 0.35% APY depending on the account's balance; and Kasasa Cash: Balances up to $10,000 receive a non-compounding APY* of 2.00%; and balances over $10,000 earn 0.35% interest rate on the portion of balance over $10,000, resulting in a non-compounding range from 2.00% to 0.37% APY* depending on the account's balance. You will also receive reimbursements (max. $4.99 per individual transaction) for nationwide ATM withdrawal fees imposed by our institution, as well as other financial institutions, and incurred during the Monthly Qualification Cycle in which you qualified. If you have a Kasasa Saver account linked to your Kasasa Cash account, any cash rewards and fee refunds will be distributed to your Kasasa Cash account on the last day of the current statement cycle and immediately transferred to your Kasasa Saver account on the first business day of the following statement cycle. An ATM receipt must be presented for reimbursements of individual ATM withdrawal fees of $10.00 or higher and will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $4.99 per individual transaction. If you have not received an appropriate reimbursement, we will adjust the reimbursement amount if we receive the transaction receipt within sixty (60) calendar days of the withdrawal transaction. When Kasasa Cash qualifications are not met, Kasasa Saver: All balances earn 0.05% APY; and Kasasa Cash: All balances earn a non-compounding APY* of 0.05% and ATM withdrawal fees are not refunded. *When linked to the Kasasa Saver account, the interest earned within the Kasasa Cash account does not compound since it is automatically transferred to the Kasasa Saver account within one day. This automatic transfer may cause an overdraft to your Kasasa Cash account if the account's balance is less than the transferred amount when the transfer occurs. APY = Annual Percentage Yield.
